Jukeboxes Unlimited is appointed Official Rock-Ola Service Center for the E.U.

March 5, 2009 - Torrance, CA

Rock-Ola today announced the appointment of Jukeboxes Unlimited in Cambridgeshire, England, as its official Rock-Ola Service Center for parts and repairs in the U.K. and Europe.

Jukeboxes Unlimited was established in the West Midlands region of England in 1984 by jukebox enthusiast Fred Pentney. Over the years, Fred built his company’s reputation as supplier of top-quality restored classic jukeboxes. A decade later, Fred expanded his business to include sales of new Rock-Ola jukeboxes and quickly became the top sales distributor for Rock-Ola in the U.K. In 2006, a new company, Pentney White Limited, purchased Jukeboxes Unlimited and the company opened another showroom and workshop facility in Eastern England. The transfer of the administrative operations, now overseen by Managing Director Ted White, was moved to the new site to allow expansion of the servicing and repair department at the original base. Jukeboxes Unlimited continues to offer both new and restored vintage models for sale. As experts in the field of restoration and repair, the firm is a natural fit as the expert service hub for Europe.
“With their combined years of experience and passionate dedication to the jukebox business, Jukeboxes
Unlimited owners Fred Pentney with Ted and Caroline White, will have a pivotal role for Rock-Ola as the brand expands through Europe,” said Rock-Ola CEO Glenn Streeter, last week. “The establishment of a centralized European Parts and Service Center gives our European dealers and their customers immediate access to service expertise previously available only from our factory in the U.S., saving costs in time and money for businesses and consumers. We are pleased to have Jukeboxes Unlimited aboard.”

ABOUT ROCK-OLA MANUFACTURING CORP.

Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation was founded in Chicago in 1927 by coin-op industry pioneer David C. Rockola. In 1935, Rockola applied his vision and employed his factory, which originally made coin-op scales and pinball machines, to the production of jukeboxes. Rock-Ola branded jukeboxes are thought to have inspired the term “Rock & Roll” – and they have unquestionably left an indelible mark on an industry that literally echoes the name in many parts of the world where “Rock-Ola” is synonymous with “jukebox.” In 1992, the Antique Apparatus Company, which manufactured the first and finest nostalgic jukeboxes, primarily for the home market, merged with Rock-Ola to create today’s best commercial and nostalgic jukeboxes. The company is online at www.rock-ola.com.
